May the 4th be with you . . . 10 years now!

Once upon a time, on the 4th day of May 2015, a not-so-young project-manager-turned-Jedi signed a contract to lead the Force. The Force, PM4NGOs. The role, Executive Director. The Jedi, me. For a lifelong Star Wars fan, the date felt like destiny.

Since then, the Force has stretched from 10 000 to 40 000 certified professionals, and from a single Jedi technique to four (soon five) best-practice guides. Together we’ve helped project managers in 168 countries deliver greater impact for the people their projects serve.

Serving PM4NGOs has transformed my life – professionally and personally. I’ve worked with a Jedi Council of Directors whose diverse wisdom, experience, and (when required) lightsabers have kept us on course. More than once we’ve faced the Sith Order of crises and constraints, and every time we’ve emerged stronger and wiser.

My gratitude extends across the galaxy – from Tatooine to Coruscant – to our Republic of Supporters. Hubs, Training Partners, Non-profit Partners, champions, and practitioners: you are the true guardians of the DPro Way, sharing its principles and power wherever it’s needed.

And then there are the Padawans who joined our ranks – hardly actual Padawans, but knowledgeable Jedis themselves. Cecília, Nouf, Oliver, plus every consultant, intern, and volunteer: your passion and dedication have propelled PM4NGOs light-years beyond what it was a decade ago.

Today, I celebrate not an ending but a new episode. As I raise a toast (Bantha Blaster, of course) to the past ten years, we ignite fresh sabers for the next adventure – new guides, deeper partnerships, and even greater impact for communities worldwide.

The Force is strong with PM4NGOs, and its future horizons are as boundless as the stars.

Onward – one project at a time!
